Technique Tips: Work From the Abs, Not the Hip Flexors
During your next Pure Barre workout, be mindful of keeping the work in your abs and out of your hip flexors throughout class. If you have ever felt like your feet are floating up during ab work, for example, try sitting in a taller posture so you can root your feet firmly into the ground. From there, drive the work by pulling your navel in towards the floor and keep the work small. Grounding into your feet, rather than balancing on your tailbone, will help you find your best ab work form.
